1. Who we are

Sullivan Media Solutions ("SMS," "we," "us") is a locally owned media company based in Redlands, California. We operate KOLA 99.9FM, KCAL 96.7FM, and Sullivan Digital, our digital advertising division. SMS is owned and operated by Anaheim Broadcasting, Inc., which is responsible for the information described in this policy; "we" and "us" include Anaheim Broadcasting, Inc.

This policy covers www.sullivanmediasolutions.com (the "Site"). The KOLA and KCAL station websites, apps, contests, and events may have their own rules and privacy policies, which apply to those services.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Advertising inquiries. When you request a media kit or proposal, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, the services you're interested in, and anything you write in your message.
Free radio commercials. Our free radio commercial tool is run for us by a service provider, and it shows its own terms and privacy policy when you use it. When you make a commercial there, your contact details and your commercial are shared with our sales team so we can follow up if you ask us to or don't finish your order.
Job applications. When you apply for a job, we collect your name, email, phone number, the position you're applying for, your resume, an optional LinkedIn profile link, and any note you include. Please don't include sensitive information such as your Social Security number, date of birth, or health information in your resume.
Other communications. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that communication.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our partners collect information about your device and visit, including IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the advertising campaign or ad click that brought you here (for example, UTM tags and ad click identifiers).

3. How we use information

Respond to your inquiry, prepare proposals and media kits, and follow up about our advertising services.
Evaluate job applications and communicate with applicants.
Understand how visitors use the Site and improve it.
Measure how well our own advertising performs and show our ads to people who have visited the Site.
Show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who are already our contacts or customers (see "Customer lists" in section 5).
Protect the Site against spam, fraud, and security threats.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

4. Cookies, pixels, and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies from the following providers:

Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and usage. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Google Ads to measure conversions from our ads and to show our ads to past visitors.
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads and show our ads to past visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and adjust Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. To opt out of sharing for advertising on this Site, use the tool in section 8.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not otherwise respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.

Service providers that host the Site, store and process form submissions and email, and provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
Advertising partners (Google and Meta). Their tags collect device and browsing information on the Site to measure and target our ads. Under California law, this may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described in section 8.
Customer lists (Meta). We may upload contact information from our own records, such as names, email addresses and phone numbers, to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) so Meta can match it to its users and show them our ads, a feature Meta calls Custom Audiences. The information is hashed (converted into a coded form) on our side before it is uploaded, and Meta uses it only to make the match. Under California law, this may also be considered "sharing." You can ask us to leave you off these lists as described in section 8.
Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SMS, our clients, or others.
Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

6. Categories, sources, and retention

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Retention. We keep advertising inquiry information for up to 3 years after our last contact with you. We keep job application materials for at least four years, as California law requires. Analytics data is kept according to our analytics settings, currently 14 months. We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes.

7. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know and access the personal information we've collected about you and how we've used and disclosed it.
Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Not be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising these rights.

How to make a request. Email contactus@sullivanmediasolutions.com or call (909) 793-3554. We'll verify your request by matching the information you give us with information we have. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need more time (up to another 45 days). You may use an authorized agent; we'll ask the agent for proof of your permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

California residents may also ask us once a year whether we shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing (California Civil Code § 1798.83). We do not.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. When you opt out on this browser, the Meta Pixel won't load and Google ad personalization is turned off for your visits. Because this choice is stored in your browser, you'll need to repeat it on each browser and device you use, or after clearing your browser data.

9. Notice to job applicants

When you apply for a job with SMS, we collect the information described in section 2 to evaluate your application, communicate with you, verify your information, and comply with employment laws. We store application materials with our service providers (such as our email and file-storage provider) and share them only with people involved in hiring decisions. We keep application materials for at least four years. We do not sell or share applicant information. California applicants have the rights described in section 7.

10. Children, security, and other terms

Children. The Site is intended for businesses and job seekers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is completely secure.

Links. The Site may link to other websites, including social media pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes. We may update this policy. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
